A passenger plane owned by a Turkish budget airline is dangling from a cliff, after it slipped off a runway in northeastern Turkey.
The Boeing 737, operated by Pegasus Airlines, landed at Trabzon Airport on Saturday night with 168 people on board.
The plane skidded off the runway and began to slide on a nearby slope toward the Black Sea. It stopped at an acute angle with its nose just above the water.
The aircraft was badly damaged. The engine was ripped from its wing and fell into the water.
Pegasus Airlines has issued a statement, saying there were no injuries among the passengers and crew members.
