Japanese police have arrested 6 men in connection with last year’s robbery of gold bars worth millions of dollars near a train station in the city of Fukuoka, western Japan.
The robbery took place last July near the entrance to a building in front of JR Hakata station.
Employees of a precious metal dealer were carrying attache cases containing gold bars weighing a total of 160 kilograms and worth about 750 million yen, or more than 6.7 million dollars.
The cases were stolen by men dressed as police officers.
On Monday, police arrested 4 men from the central Japanese city of Nagoya on suspicion of stealing the gold, and 2 others on suspicion of selling 90 kilograms of the haul.
Police believe a total of around 10 people were involved, and are searching for the other suspects.
