Tokyo police say 3 Taiwanese-born men they arrested for drug smuggling made the effort to hide narcotics inside over a thousand separate bags. The men are suspected of shipping to Japan 154 kilograms of stimulants with an estimated street value of 110 million dollars. Police found the drugs separated into nearly 1,300 batches and hidden in boxes for lighting equipment. The boxes were sent from the Chinese province of Guangdong by cargo ship. Police say the suspects came to Japan in July. The drugs arrived in Tokyo’s Koto Ward in the same month. Investigators suspect the men have links to a major drug ring. The suspects have denied the allegations. Source and image: NHK Share this:TweetEmail
