On April 5, Ayumi Ueda left behind a pouch containing 50 grams of kakuseizei, or stimulant drugs, inside the bathroom of a McDonald’s outlet in Kita Ward. Staff members at the restaurant found the bag, which also contained a syringe, and contacted the Sonezaki Police Station, according to Yomiuri Television (April 30). Ueda was apprehended after she returned to the outlet in search of the drugs, which have an estimated street value of 3.5 million yen.
