Police in Gamagori, Aichi Prefecture, said Thursday that a 73-year-old woman was found dead at her home with a cord tied around her neck.
At around 10 p.m., on Thursday, Katsuyo Sugiura was found dead, face up in a tatami room on the first floor of her residence, Fuji TV reported. Her son, who lives in the annex, found her and notified police.
Sugiura had a phone charger’s cord around her neck and had been bleeding from her ears. Also, there were bloodstains that showed she was dragged from another room, police said. As a window on the first floor of the residence was broken, police believe an intruder broke into the residence and murdered Sugiura.
