Police say the suspects allegedly forced their way into a Harry Winston store in the Omotesando district in November 2015. They reportedly injured a security guard before stealing jewelry, including valuable diamond pieces, worth a total of about 900,000 dollars.
Police analyzed male outerwear left at the crime scene and security camera footage, and identified the suspects as 3 British nationals.
The suspects reportedly entered Japan 2 days before the incident via Narita Airport, and left for Britain 2 days after the robbery.
On Wednesday, police obtained arrest warrants on suspicion of robbery resulting in bodily injury.
Investigators plan to look into a global jewelry heist organization to which they believe the 3 Britons belong.
