Philippines among destinations offering best hotel value

The Philippines made it to TripAdvisor’s list of 10 popular tourism destinations offering great accommodation value to American travelers.

The list is part of the travel website’s 2017 Hotel Pricing Report, which is based on TripAdvisor hotel shopping data.

“With its Hotel Pricing Report, TripAdvisor is helping travelers as they consider where and when to go on vacation by identifying some of the best-value travel periods in popular destinations around the world,” Brooke Ferencsik, senior director of communications for TripAdvisor, said in a statement.

“TripAdvisor hotel shopping data reveals that some destinations offer significant hotel value this year compared to last, including the Caribbean where hotel prices are down 8 percent, making it a perfect time for Americans to book a dream trip there,” Ferencsik added.

Here are TripAdvisor’s 10 tourism destinations offering hotel value to US travelers in 2017, with the list covering data for hotel check-ins from January to June this year:
