The two tropical cyclones outside the Philippine boundary are slowly moving away from the country, the state weather bureau said midday Friday.
Tropical storm Meari, located at 1,780 kilometers east of Central Luzon, was moving northeast slowly, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Another tropical depression, located at 2,225 kilometers east of extreme Northern Luzon, was moving northeast.
A low pressure area near Palapag, Northern Samar and the intertropical convergence zone will bring cloudy skies with moderate to occasionaly heavy rains and thunderstorms over Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon), Bicol region, western and eastern Viisayas and the provinces of Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon. Landslides and flash floods are also possible.
Metro Manila, Palawan, Mindanao and the rest of Visayas will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains.
