Japan students drew graffiti on Cologne Cathedral

Two Japanese students left graffiti on a wall of the Cologne Cathedral in Germany. The cathedral is registered as a World Heritage site.Kanagawa University says 2 students did the misbehavior on June 30th during extracurricular activity. University staff later found a photo of the graffiti on Twitter. The university says the institution’s vice president and the 2 students visited the cathedral on July 7th and apologized for the act.The university says it offered to erase the graffiti, and that staff at the cathedral turned it down.The university is considering punishment for the students.University President Yoshio Kaneko said he expresses his sincere apology to people in Germany and the rest of the world who love and respect the cathedral.
