The land ministry says seismic activity in Kyushu has triggered nearly 100 landslides in the quake-hit region.
Ministry officials have assessed the situation through on-site inspections and by analyzing aerial photos.
They say as of Monday Kumamoto Prefecture had the most landslides, with 69, and that Oita had suffered 14.
The village of Minamiaso in Kumamoto has had 28 slides, while the city of Aso has had 9.
43 of the displacements have been categorized as mudslides. 17 were described as land slippages, and 24 as cliff collapses.
Ministry officials are warning people to stay away from intact slopes as earthquakes and rain could trigger more slides.
