US tech giant Apple is to release a new iPhone in an effort to boost falling sales. The smaller device will be available in stores around the world on Thursday next week.
The new model, called the iPhone SE, has a 4-inch screen, smaller than the “6S”. But it matches the larger phone for camera performance and data processing speed. The starting price is 399 dollars.
Apple also unveiled the iPad Pro, a smaller version of its high-performance tablet computer, and announced a lower price for the Apple watch.
The company’s sales were down in the October-December quarter last year compared to a year earlier, both in the US and Japan.
