Listed beverage and snacks maker Pepsi Cola Products Philippines Inc. (PCPPI) is manufacturing the popular Cheetos and Lay’s snacks in the Philippines.
Only its second in Asia after Bangladesh, PCPPI is making these snacks with a total investment worth $11 million in its Cabuyao, Laguna plant.
Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines Inc. (PCPPI) today inaugurated their newest manufacturing facility in Cabuyao, Laguna, signalling the company’s first foray into snacks manufacturing in the country.
Marking the inauguration were executives from PepsiCo, led by Mr. Sanjeev Chadha, chief executive officer for Asia, Middle East, and North Africa (AMENA), as well as the LOTTE Group of Korea led by Mr. Yongsang You, CEO of PCPPI. Pepsico and Lotte are two of the biggest shareholders of PCPPI since 2010.
Construction for the Cabuyao Snacks Plant started in March 2015 and is designed to be a world-class foods manufacturing facility, fully compliant with the quality and safety standards set internationally by Pepsico.
Located within the Light Industrial Science Park, the plant has a land area of 9,800 sqm. It will initially produce Cheetos branded snacks for the local market.
