Chiba: 2 men beat up KFC employee, steal Y900,000

Two men assaulted the employee of a KFC store in Chiba Prefecture and stole 900,000 yen early Sunday morning, police said. According to police, the robbery occurred at the Kentucky Fried Chicken Noda branch at around 2 a.m. Fuji TV reported that the 42-year-old male employee was taking the trash out the back when he was accosted by two men. Police said the men beat the employee and dragged him back inside the store. They then threatened him with a pair of scissors and said he wouldn’t be killed if he handed over the money from the safe. They bound the employee with tape and fled with about 900,000 yen from the safe, as well as taking the employee’s wallet.
