Firemen, police drill for drone attack at Olympics

About 450 police officers and firefighters took part in an anti-terrorism drill at a sports arena near Tokyo on Wednesday. They were preparing for a possible drone attack during the 2020 Olympics and Paralympics in Tokyo. Saitama Super Arena is expected to host basketball games during the 2020 Olympics.Drill participants practiced responding to a supposed bomb explosion near spectator seats that killed and injured many. Firefighters and doctors rescued and treated the victims. About 40 minutes later, police officers located a drone supposedly loaded with explosives that had crashed near the arena. The officers first used a remote-controlled robot to determine whether the drone was emitting radiation.
